Alexandra is the owner of Remedy Me Spa & Remedy Me Float Spa and is a licensed Massage Therapist. She is a huge supporter  of small businesses, and loves promoting any small business she can. She opened her spa with other small business in mind. Her goal was to create a place where any small business in the industry, and their clients, could go to get all their spa needs in one convenient location. Alexandra is originally from Iowa but her career started with her moving to Dothan, AL to go to massage school graduating in 2016. She worked under another massage therapist for 3 years learning everything she could, and then opened her spa in 2019. She recently expanded her spa to offer float therapy at the Dothan location. Float therapy is 10 inches of Water with 1,000 lbs. of epsom salt which provide amazing benefits for the body and mind. Alexandra is certified in all kinds of massage, including post-rehab, oncology, lymphatic drainage, & pregnancy.

 

Included in her spa expansion in August of 2021, she has opened up commercial property for other small business to open their shops. Royalty Salon was the first small business in the newly renovated buildings and the second was A Southern Man Barbershop second location.

 

Alexandra unfortunately got the news she had stage I Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in August of 2022 and had to undergo chemotherapy. This was a very scarey time with two toddler girls at home and not knowing how that would affect their family and business relationships. Fortunately she found out the chemo worked in January of 2023 and was CANCER FREE!!! After going through that type of trauma, she decided her business was thriving enough that she could finally return to her real “home” -AUBURN, AL in June of 2023 where she grew up and wanted her girls to as well. Here, she decided to grow her business even more and open her third location of Remedy Me Spa - Auburn. She decided to try something out of her comfort zone yet again and offer Mobile Massages to make it easier for the chaotic lives of others in today’s world. For now this business is a MOBILE ONLY business in the Auburn/Opelika area, but may have opportunities to grow elsewhere in the future. She is not a "cookie cutter" massage therapist, each massage is tailored to your needs and health.

 

Through this journey, Alexandra continues to grow and support more small business by helping them find a place to call home. She has helped many people in the areas to find their needs in the self-care industry. Her goal is to help educate others on how self-care is truly needed in todays world and is now considered a necessity in many peoples’ way of living!
